Uğur Kaya, MD

This work was presented at the Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery 8th National Congress and the XVI Annual Meeting of the Mediterranean Association of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.

Clinical focus

Dr. Kaya evaluates and treats a range of cardiac and vascular conditions. In cardiac surgery, his areas of expertise include aortic aneurysm, aortic valve stenosis, other heart valve diseases and heart muscle diseases. Treatment planning follows the diagnosis, the imaging findings and the patient’s general condition; not every patient is a candidate for surgery, and the possible options, their expected benefits and their risks are discussed with the patient before any decision is made.

In vascular surgery, he treats peripheral vascular occlusions and varicose veins. Depending on the location and extent of the disease, vascular conditions may be managed with open surgical techniques or, in suitable cases, with endovascular surgery. The choice of approach is made on an individual basis after clinical examination and review of the available imaging.

How Dr. Kaya works with international patients
