Yeliz Kantürk, MD

Yeliz Kantürk, MD is an otorhinolaryngology (ENT) specialist who practices in the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) unit at Acibadem Bakirkoy Hospital in İstanbul. Her clinical work is centered on nasal and sinus surgery, including septorhinoplasty for nasal deviation, rhinoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery, and also covers snoring, adenoid conditions, tonsil surgery and the assessment of dizziness.

Dr. Kantürk graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2006 and completed her specialty training in Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 2012. In 2010 she spent time as an observer in Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Freiburg University, and in 2018 she was an observer at the London Allergy Immunology Centre in England. She has worked within Acıbadem Healthcare Services since 2013. She is a member of the Turkish Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery Foundation (TKBBV) and the Istanbul Ear, Nose and Throat and Head and Neck Surgery Specialists Association. Her published work includes a chapter on neck dissection in thyroid cancer in Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery (Deomed Publishing, 2011) and a co-authored article describing a nasal tip suspension suture technique, the Cat’s Nape Suture, in the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery (2010).

Clinical focus

A large part of Dr. Kantürk’s practice concerns the nose and sinuses. She evaluates and treats nasal deviation, and where surgery is considered appropriate she performs septorhinoplasty, which addresses the nasal septum and the external shape of the nose in a single procedure. She also performs rhinoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery, a minimally invasive approach to the sinuses carried out through the nostrils with an endoscope. Whether an operation is suitable depends on the individual findings, symptoms and general health of each patient, and this is discussed during the consultation.

Her practice also includes common ENT conditions in children and adults. She assesses snoring and its possible causes in the nose and throat, manages adenoid conditions and performs tonsil surgery when indicated. Patients presenting with dizziness are evaluated for ear-related and other otorhinolaryngological causes, with further investigation or referral arranged as needed.

How Dr. Kantürk works with international patients

Dr. Kantürk consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as CT or MRI reports, laboratory results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit.
