Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alanay

Prof. Ahmet Alanay is a spine surgeon and academic leader with extensive international experience in complex spinal care. He completed a visiting professorship at the UCLA School of Medicine’s Comprehensive Spine Center in 2006 and has been affiliated with the Acibadem Health Group since 2012. His clinical and research work focuses on spinal deformity and advanced spine surgery. He is an active member of leading professional societies, including the Spine Society of Europe, the Scoliosis Research Society, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Bone and Joint Society, the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association, and the Turkish Spine Society.

He serves on advisory and editorial boards for several prominent journals and organizations, including the European Federation of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, the European Spine Journal, JBJS Reviews (Editorial Board Member), and as an associate editor for spine surgery. He also contributes to the Spine Deformity editorial community and participates in multiple spine advisory boards. Prof. Alanay combines clinical practice, research, and editorial work to advance spine care, education, and outcomes for patients with complex spinal conditions.
