Prof. Bilgi Baca is an accomplished general surgeon with a strong clinical and academic background. She earned her medical degree and completed specialty training in General Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, receiving the title of Associate Professor in 2009. Since 2014 she has been affiliated with Acibadem Health Group, contributing to patient care, surgical practice, and multidisciplinary teams. Her expertise spans colorectal, hepatopancreatobiliary, hernia, and minimally invasive (endoscopic‑laparoscopic) surgery, with experience in trauma and emergency surgical care. She is active in the international and national surgical community and holds memberships in several professional organizations, including the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists, the European Society of Coloproctology, the Turkish Surgical Association, the Turkish Colon and Rectum Society, the National Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery, the National Endoscopic‑Laparoscopic Surgery Society, the Turkish Hepato‑Pancreato‑Biliary Surgery Association, and the Hernia Association. Known for a patient‑centered approach and dedication to surgical advancement, Prof. Baca combines clinical expertise with ongoing engagement in professional societies to improve surgical outcomes and standards of care.
