Assoc. Prof. Çağrı Örs, MD

Assoc. Prof. Çağrı Örs, MD is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery & Traumatology practicing in Adana at Acibadem Adana Hospital and Acibadem Adana Orthopedia Hospital, where he works within the Orthopedics & Joint Center. Dr. Örs graduated from Kırıkkale University Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and completed his Orthopedics and Traumatology training at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital in 2014. He also served at Bitlis Devlet Hospital as part of his compulsory service. In 2019 he completed a fellowship in arthroplasty and one- and two-stage revision arthroplasty at Helios ENDO Klinik Special Hospital Bone, Joint and Spine Surgery in Hamburg. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2023. He is a member of the Hip Knee Arthroplasty Association (KADAD), the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Education Council (TOTEK), the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association (TOTBİD) and the Turkish Sports Injuries Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Association (TUSYAD). His published research includes work on total hip arthroplasty in developmental dysplasia of the hip, tranexamic acid use in primary total hip arthroplasty, conversion of hip fusion to total hip arthroplasty, osteochondral lesions of the talus, patellofemoral instability and open reduction with Pemberton osteotomy in young children with developmental dysplasia of the hip.

Clinical focus

A substantial part of Dr. Örs’s practice involves joint replacement, including knee replacement surgery and hip replacement for patients with osteoarthritis and other degenerative joint conditions. He also treats sports injuries and knee and joint injuries, including anterior cruciate ligament tears, and performs shoulder and elbow surgery. In the foot and ankle, his work includes foot surgery for a range of disorders as well as diabetic and Charcot foot surgery.

In pediatric orthopedics, Dr. Örs evaluates and treats children with clubfoot and bone cysts, among other conditions. His further areas of interest include orthopedic oncology, spasticity surgery and robotic surgery. For each patient, he discusses suitable surgical and non-surgical options based on the individual condition, the findings of the clinical examination and the available imaging.

How Dr. Örs works with international patients

Dr. Örs consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options.
