Prof. Dr. Çetin Kılıççı

Prof. Dr. Çetin Kılıççı is a specialist in Gynecology & Obstetrics who practices at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital and Acibadem Dr. Sinasi Can (Kadikoy) Hospital in İstanbul. He works within the Gynecology & Obstetrics unit, with subspecialty interests in urogynecology and robotic surgery. Dr. Kılıççı graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Zeynep Kamil Training and Research Hospital for Women’s and Children’s Diseases in 2005. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2013, and from 2014 he has held a specialist position at the University of Health Sciences, Istanbul Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Health Application and Research Center, Department of Surgical Medical Sciences, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has co-authored publications in journals including Zeynep Kamil Medical Bulletin, Eastern Journal Of Medicine, Gynecology Obstetrics Reproductive Medicine and Van Medical Journal, on topics such as the comparison of abdominal, vaginal and total laparoscopic hysterectomy, uterine sarcoma, preeclampsia, gestational weight gain, term vaginal breech deliveries and genetic susceptibility to endometriosis.

Clinical focus

Dr. Kılıççı’s practice centers on urogynecology, including urinary incontinence, bladder health and diseases, uterine prolapse, and pelvic pain and dysfunction. Assessment of these conditions generally begins with a detailed history and clinical examination, and treatment is planned according to the individual findings and the patient’s priorities.

In gynecologic oncology surgery he manages patients with cervical cancer and ovarian cancer, and he performs robotic gynecologic surgery and vNOTES scarless surgery where these approaches are considered appropriate. His areas of expertise also include endometriosis treatment and the management of placenta previa and placenta accreta. Whether a minimally invasive, robotic or conventional approach is suitable depends on the diagnosis, prior treatments and the patient’s overall health, and this is discussed with each patient before any decision is made.

How Dr. Kılıççı works with international patients

Dr. Kılıççı consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages.
