Ergün Kuşku, MD

Ergün Kuşku, MD is a dermatologist at Acibadem Kent Hospital (Izmir) in İzmir, where he works in the Dermatology unit. He is a member of the Türkiye Dermatoveneroloji Association, TÜRKOD Association, Dermatoonkoloji Association and Turkish Dermatology Association.

Clinical focus

Dr. Kuşku’s clinical focus covers common inflammatory skin conditions as well as infectious and oncological skin disease. He provides active acne treatment and manages rosacea, a chronic condition that typically affects the face, and urticaria, which presents with itchy wheals and may be acute or chronic. The evaluation of these conditions generally begins with a detailed history and an examination of the skin, since the choice of treatment depends on the type and severity of the findings. Skin conditions can vary considerably between individuals, and treatment plans are adjusted accordingly.

His practice also includes skin infections, fungal infections, warts and sexually transmitted diseases, including genital warts. He performs cryotherapy, a procedure in which lesions such as warts are treated with controlled freezing. In addition, Dr. Kuşku assesses patients with suspected or diagnosed skin cancer; the approach in these cases depends on the type of lesion and the findings of the clinical examination, and further diagnostic steps may be discussed as needed. Patients with ongoing skin complaints that have not responded to previous treatment may also be evaluated.
