Dr. Esin Özlem Atmış

Dr. Esin Özlem Atmış is an otorhinolaryngology specialist at Acibadem Fulya Hospital in İstanbul, where she provides care through the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) unit. She has more than 19 years in medicine. Her clinical interests include tonsil and adenoid surgery, sinusitis, snoring, nasal obstruction and nasal aesthetic surgery, hoarseness, vertigo and balance disorders, and prominent ear correction.

Dr. Atmış graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 2008; her medical education also included a period at Palermo University in Palermo, Italy, in 2007. She completed her specialty training in Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2014. During and after this training she gained experience abroad, at Philadelphia Ear,Nose and Throat Associates;The Voice Foundation in Philadelphia, USA, in 2013 and at the Medical University of Graz Division of Phoniatrics in Graz, Austria, in 2014. From 2014 to 2016 she worked in the Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases department of Van Regional Training and Research Hospital, and in 2026 she joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services. She is a member of the Profesyonel Ses Association, the Ear, Nose and Throat Head and Neck Surgery Association, the Facial Plastic Surgery Association, the Turkish Ear, Nose and Throat Foundation and the Türk Otolarengoloji Association, and she is a Member of the European Ear, Nose and Throat Head and Neck Surgery Board.

Clinical focus

Dr. Atmış treats a range of ear, nose and throat conditions in both adults and children. Her surgical work includes tonsillectomy and the assessment of adenoid conditions, including adenoidectomy where indicated. In the nose, she evaluates and treats sinusitis and nasal obstruction, and performs septoplasty, rhinoplasty and combined septorhinoplasty when both functional and aesthetic concerns are present. She also assesses patients with snoring.

Her interests extend to voice and balance. She sees patients with hoarseness, drawing on her experience in phoniatrics and voice care, and evaluates vertigo and balance disorders. Prominent ear correction is a further part of her practice. Whether a surgical or non-surgical approach is appropriate depends on the individual findings and is discussed with each patient after examination.

How Dr. Atmış works with international patients

Dr. Atmış consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages. Before a visit, the international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as CT or MRI reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical ENT examination and a discussion of the available options. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their case before deciding whether to travel.
