Prof. Fatih Dikici, MD is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery & Traumatology at Acibadem Atakent Hospital in İstanbul, where he practices within the Orthopedics & Joint Center. From 2001 to 2005 he was a specialist doctor at TDV Private 29 Mayıs Hospital. He then returned to İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine, where he worked from 2005 to 2012 and became an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2012. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2011. He is a member of the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association, the Turkish Spine Association, the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Union Association, the Association for the Application and Development of Ilizarov Methods, and the National Trauma and Emergency Surgery Association.

Clinical focus

A substantial part of Dr. Dikici’s practice concerns the hip and knee. He evaluates patients with degenerative and other joint diseases and, when indicated, performs hip replacement and knee replacement surgery, including robotic-assisted procedures where appropriate for the individual case. He also treats shoulder and elbow conditions, with elbow surgery and shoulder surgery forming part of his subspecialty work, and he sees patients with sports-related knee and joint injuries.

His areas of expertise further include spine diseases and spinal deformity surgery, orthopedic oncology and the management of bone tumors, and trauma surgery for fractures and related injuries. In pediatric orthopedics he assesses growth- and development-related conditions in children, and he performs limb lengthening procedures when clinically indicated. Treatment recommendations are based on the patient’s history, examination findings and imaging, and may involve non-surgical management as well as surgery.
