Assoc. Prof. Murat Tümüklü, MD

Assoc. Prof. Murat Tümüklü, MD is a cardiologist at Acibadem Kent Hospital (Izmir) in İzmir, where he works in the Cardiology Department. Valve disease is a second area of his practice. Dr. Tümüklü assesses heart murmurs, rheumatic heart disease and mitral regurgitation, and advises on monitoring or further treatment depending on the severity of the findings. His clinical interests also include heart rhythm disorders and pacemakers, as well as atrial septal defects. Recommendations are made after review of the individual patient’s history, examination and imaging, and the available options, including their expected benefits and limitations, are discussed with the patient before any decision is taken.
