Prof. Dr. Resul Arısoy

Prof. Dr. Resul Arısoy is a specialist in Gynecology & Obstetrics at Acibadem Kartal Hospital in İstanbul, with a subspecialty focus on perinatology and high-risk pregnancies. He has more than 21 years in medicine. He graduated from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2005, completed specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital in 2011, and completed Perinatology training at Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital in 2015.

His professional experience includes a position at Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2009 and work in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of Ardahan Göle State Hospital in 2011. From 2015 to 2016 he worked in the Perinatology Clinic of Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Women’s, Obstetrics and Children’s Diseases Hospital, where he then served as Deputy Chief Physician from 2016 to 2017. He worked at Ataşehir-Şişli Memorial Hospital from 2017 to 2025 and, in 2020, at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine – Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Arısoy is a member of the Turkish Gynecology and Obstetrics Association, the World Association of Perinatal Medicine, the Turkish Medical Association and the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Mezunlar Dernegi. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Perinatology Association since 2025.

Clinical focus

Dr. Arısoy’s clinical work centers on the care of women with high-risk pregnancies. His areas of expertise include pregnancy monitoring, detailed pregnancy ultrasound, and the assessment and management of conditions such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, placenta previa and placenta accreta. He also performs amniocentesis and is involved in fetal treatment and surgery. The appropriate monitoring and treatment approach depends on the individual clinical situation and is discussed with the patient after assessment.

In obstetric care, Dr. Arısoy supports patients with delivery planning and attends deliveries, including epidural delivery, cesarean delivery and water birth. The choice of delivery method depends on the medical circumstances of the mother and baby and is considered together with the patient during the course of the pregnancy.

How Dr. Arısoy works with international patients

Dr. Arısoy consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. The Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, arranges appointments and organizes the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options.
