Dr. Utku Alemdaroğlu

Dr. Utku Alemdaroğlu is a cardiovascular surgeon at Acibadem Adana Hospital in Adana, where he works in the Cardiovascular Surgery unit. He has more than 22 years in medicine. He graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2004 and completed his specialty training in cardiovascular surgery at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine in 2011. From 2012 to 2013 he completed his compulsory service at Tarsus Devlet Hospital in Mersin, and in 2013 he joined the Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic of Başkent University Adana Training and Research Center as a lecturer and specialist doctor. In 2023 he worked at Adana Şehir Hospital and joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services. Since 2022 he has been pursuing a PhD in Translational Medicine at Çukurova University. He is a member of the National Vascular Surgery Association, the Turkish Cardiovascular Surgery Association, the Ankara Medical Chamber and ESVS (European Society for Vascular Surgery). His published work includes case reports and clinical studies on topics such as venous aneurysm, sclerotherapy for spider veins of the leg, wound closure after coronary bypass surgery and carotid endarterectomy after acute stroke.

Clinical focus

Dr. Alemdaroğlu evaluates and treats a range of cardiac conditions, including aortic aneurysm, aortic valve stenosis and other heart valve diseases, cardiomyopathies and congenital heart diseases. Surgical options within his practice include robotic bypass surgery, and he is also involved in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation as part of recovery after cardiac treatment. His pediatric cardiovascular surgery practice addresses congenital conditions in children.

On the vascular side, his work covers diseases of the great vessels, peripheral arterial occlusion, renal artery stenosis and Buerger disease, together with venous conditions such as varicose veins. He also provides wound care and lymphedema treatment. Treatment recommendations depend on the individual patient’s diagnosis, imaging findings and overall health, and the choice between surgical and non-surgical approaches is discussed with the patient after assessment.

How Dr. Alemdaroğlu works with international patients

Dr. Alemdaroğlu consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages.
