Prof. Dr. Volkan Noyan

Prof. Dr. Volkan Noyan is a specialist in Gynecology & Obstetrics at Acibadem Adana Hospital in Adana, where he works within the Gynecology & Obstetrics unit. His practice also extends to the hospital’s In Vitro Fertilization and Reproductive Medicine, Treatment of Sexual Dysfunction, Menopause, Robotic Surgery and Urogynecology units. Dr. Noyan graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and completed his specialty training at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999. He then worked at Ankara Özel Keçiören Hospital (1999–2000) and Girne Asker Hospital (2000). From 1999 to 2013 he was at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where he held the department chairmanship in 2013. During this period he also worked at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine Assisted Reproductive Treatment Center (2009) and at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Assisted Reproductive Treatment Center (2012–2013). In 2013 he joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services. He is a member of the Turkish Gynecology and Obstetrics Association, the Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the Turkish Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Association. His published research, written with co-authors, has addressed topics such as polycystic ovary syndrome, plasma markers in pregnancy, and the effects of hormone therapy on the postmenopausal vaginal epithelium.

Clinical focus

Dr. Noyan evaluates and treats a range of gynecologic conditions, including menstrual irregularities, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menstrual pain, painful intercourse (dyspareunia), Bartholin cyst, sexual function disorders and sexually transmitted infections. He also manages endometriosis and ectopic pregnancy, and provides pregnancy follow-up and delivery.

Reproductive medicine is a central part of his work. He sees patients for the assessment and treatment of infertility, drawing on his experience in assisted reproductive treatment centers and in vitro fertilization. His areas of expertise also include urogynecology and pelvic floor conditions, menopause-related care, and robotic surgery in gynecology.
