How do I start?
Send the form, message us on WhatsApp or call. A coordinator replies, typically within 24 hours, and tells you which reports the specialist needs.
Is the medical opinion really free?
Yes. The first medical opinion, the treatment plan and the written quote are free and carry no obligation. Treatment, travel and accommodation are paid services, and their cost is set out in your quote before you decide.
How quickly will I get an answer?
A coordinator usually replies within one working day. After the specialist has reviewed your reports, a personalised plan and written quote typically follow within a few days. A formal written second opinion usually takes 5–7 working days.
Which documents should I send?
Recent medical reports, imaging such as MRI, CT or PET, pathology and lab results, and a list of your current medication. If something is missing, your coordinator will tell you.
Who reviews my case?
A specialist from the relevant department at an Acibadem hospital. Complex cases are discussed by a multidisciplinary board.
Can I speak with the doctor before I travel?
An online consultation can be arranged where it is clinically useful. An in-person examination confirms the final plan.
Is it safe to be treated in Türkiye?
Seven Acibadem hospitals hold JCI accreditation, so independent inspectors verify infection control, medication safety and surgical processes at those hospitals against published international standards.
Which hospital will treat me?
The one best equipped for your condition. Your coordinator proposes the hospital and the specialist, and you decide.
Can I ask for a second opinion only?
Yes. A free medical opinion carries no obligation — many patients use it to compare their options before committing to anything.
What if my condition is urgent?
If you have severe or sudden symptoms, contact your local emergency services first. For urgent cases, call our 24/7 line and the team will tell you what is possible.
How much will my treatment cost?
You receive a clear, itemised written quote before you travel. It is prepared from your own reports, so it reflects your case rather than a list price.
What does the quote include?
It lists what is included — for example the hospital stay, the procedure, tests and the medical team — and what is not. Ask your coordinator about anything that is unclear.
How do I pay, and can my insurer be billed?
Your coordinator explains the payment options at your hospital. Whether your insurer can be billed directly depends on your policy and is confirmed before you travel.
Do you help with visa, travel and accommodation?
Yes. We provide a visa invitation letter where one is required, arrange airport transfers around your hospital visits and help you book accommodation close to the hospital.
Will someone speak my language?
Support is available in more than 20 languages, with a dedicated coordinator throughout your stay.
Is there an Acibadem office in my country?
Acibadem has patient offices in more than 30 countries. A local team can collect your reports and explain the plan in your own language before you travel.
How long will I need to stay?
It depends on the treatment. Your plan states the expected length of stay and any follow-up visits, so you can plan your travel.
Can a companion travel with me?
Yes. Tell your coordinator so that accommodation and transfers can be planned for both of you.
What happens after I return home?
You leave with a discharge summary and a follow-up plan. Remote follow-up with your team continues once you are home.
How is my data protected?
Your reports are shared only with the clinical team reviewing your case and are handled under KVKK and GDPR, as described in the privacy notice.
