Dr. İdris Avcı

Dr. İdris Avcı is a neurosurgeon at Acıbadem Kadıköy (Dr. Şinasi Can) Hospital, where he works in the Neurosurgery and Movement Disorders Treatment units. His clinical focus includes brain hemorrhage and hematoma, cervical and lumbar spinal canal narrowing, tethered cord syndrome, congenital spinal problems, spinal surgery, endoscopic spinal surgery, kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty, movement disorders treatment, and oncological surgery.

He graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine after completing his medical education in English and went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at SBÜ Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital. He received his neurosurgery specialist qualification at Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital and later held specialist and clinical leadership roles at SBÜ Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital. His subsequent work included the Spine Center at Memorial Hospitals Group, a faculty position at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, and neurosurgery practice at NP İstanbul Brain Hospital before joining Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2025.
