Prof. Dr. Gül Sağın Saylam

Prof. Gül Sağın Saylam is a professor of medicine with a long-standing commitment to cardiology and cardiac surgery. After earning a medical degree from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 2002, she advanced to a professorship and has served in clinical and academic roles, including work with Acıbadem Health Group since 2011. Her practice and research focus on pediatric and congenital heart disease as well as thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.

She is active in national and international professional communities and holds membership in numerous societies, including the Society of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery, Turkish Society of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, National Pediatric Association, Turkish Medical Association, and the Turkish Society of Cardiology. She is also engaged with regional and global organizations such as the Asia Pacific Adult Congenital Heart Disease Society, Asia‑Pacific Society of Pediatric Cardiology, and the European Society of Pediatric Cardiology. Known for combining surgical expertise with patient-centered care and academic dedication, she contributes to advancing pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery through clinical practice, teaching, and collaboration.
