Aylin Tatlıadım, MD

Aylin Tatlıadım, MD is a specialist in Gynecology & Obstetrics at Acibadem Bakirkoy Hospital in İstanbul, where she works within the Gynecology & Obstetrics unit. Dr. Tatlıadım’s work centers on women’s health across different stages of life. In gynecology, she sees women for evaluation of symptoms and for routine follow-up, taking a history, performing a clinical examination and reviewing any existing reports before discussing the findings and the options that may be appropriate. The approach is individual, and the plan depends on the clinical picture of each patient.

A significant part of her practice is pregnancy care and obstetric care. This includes following women during pregnancy, monitoring the health of mother and baby over time and discussing the course of the pregnancy and delivery. Her interest in perinatology, supported by her membership in the İstanbul Perinatology Association, concerns the care of pregnancies that require closer follow-up. In such cases, Dr. Tatlıadım reviews the available information with the patient, explains what monitoring may be considered and, where relevant, coordinates with other specialists involved in the patient’s care.

How Dr. Tatlıadım works with international patients

Dr. Tatlıadım speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who prefer another language. Before a visit, the hospital’s international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, arranges appointments and organizes the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the possible options. For pregnant patients, earlier scans and pregnancy records help Dr. Tatlıadım understand the course of the pregnancy so far. Video consultation is available for international patients, which can be useful for an initial discussion or for follow-up after a visit, although it does not replace an in-person clinical examination when one is needed.
