Prof. Dr. Bülent Karabulut

Prof. Bülent Karabulut is a Professor of Medical Oncology with a long-standing commitment to cancer care, education and professional leadership. He currently practices with Acibadem Health Group and holds numerous academic and organizational roles that span clinical practice, research, education and professional governance. His leadership roles include board membership and regional representation responsibilities focused on supporting young oncologists, chairing the digestive system tumors working group, and serving on multiple education and accreditation commissions.

He is an active member of national and international societies, including the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Professor Karabulut is a founding member of the Aegean Hematology Oncology Association (EHOD) and the Interdisciplinary Oncology Association (IDOD), and has served as vice president for both organizations. He holds board-level roles in several cancer-focused bodies: the Turkish Medical Oncology Association, the Turkish Lung Cancer Association (where he has served as secretary general), the Turkish Oncology Group Association, and the Ege University Cancer Research Center.

He also contributes to specialty groups such as the Honey Neck Cancers Association and the young researchers working group as advisory faculty. His service portfolio includes membership on drug safety and blood transfusion commissions, accreditation and education committees at Ege University, and active participation in cancer-related non-governmental organizations. Through clinical work, academic leadership, and broad professional engagement, Prof. Karabulut focuses on improving patient care, mentoring the next generation of oncologists, and advancing oncology research and education.
