Ecem Eren, MD

Dr. Eren graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2016, having completed an internship program at Bicocca University, Faculty of Medicine in Milan, Italy, in 2015. After graduation she served as a general practitioner under compulsory state service at Cihanbeyli State Hospital in Konya from 2017. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul in 2022, and in the same year completed the Endometriosis Fellowship Program at Floransa University, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in Italy. In 2023 she worked as a specialist physician under compulsory state service at Atatürk State Hospital in Düzce, practiced at Özel Şişli Memorial Hospital, and was appointed Assistant Professor at Üsküdar University. She has held her current position since 2026.

Clinical focus

A central part of Dr. Eren’s practice is endometriosis, a condition she studied further during her fellowship program in Italy. She evaluates women with symptoms that may be related to endometriosis, reviews any existing imaging and previous treatments, and discusses the options that may be appropriate for the individual patient. Her practice also covers the menopausal transition, including the assessment of menopause-related symptoms and a discussion of possible approaches to managing them.

Within urogynecology, Dr. Eren sees women with pelvic floor and urinary complaints and considers both conservative and other management options according to the findings. She also provides sexual dysfunction treatment, approaching these concerns in a clinical setting with attention to the patient’s history, symptoms and overall gynecologic health. In all of these areas, the suitability of any treatment depends on an individual assessment, and the plan is agreed with the patient after that assessment.

How Dr. Eren works with international patients

Dr. Eren consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as ultrasound, MRI or CT reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Video consultations are available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation with Dr. Eren before deciding whether to travel; a video consultation may be followed by an in-person examination where this is needed to complete the assessment.
