Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halenur Bozdağ

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halenur Bozdağ is a specialist in Gynecology & Obstetrics at Acibadem Kartal Hospital in İstanbul. Her clinical work covers endometriosis, pelvic pain, pelvic floor disorders, menopause, menstrual irregularities, urinary incontinence and bladder health, cervical cancer and infertility, as well as vNOTES scarless surgery and vaginal laparoscopy. She has more than 36 years in medicine and is a member of the Turkish Gynecology and Obstetrics Association (TJOD) and the Turkish Medical Association.

Dr. Bozdağ graduated from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1990 and completed her specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital in 2003. Her career began at the Ministry of Health Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital (1998–2003), followed by positions at the Ministry of Health Elazığ Sarahatun Maternity Hospital (2003–2008) and the Ministry of Health Ankara Sincan State Hospital (2008–2011). From 2011 to 2016 she worked at İstanbul Medeniyet University Göztepe Training and Research Hospital, and from 2017 to 2020 at the Health Sciences University Sultan Abdül Hamid Han Training and Research Hospital IVF Center. Between 2020 and 2025 she served as a faculty member at VM Medical Park Maltepe Hospital / Bahçeşehir University, and in 2024 she joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services. Her published work includes studies on episiotomy angle and postpartum perineal pain, vitamin D deficiency and obstetric outcomes in pregnant women with thyroid autoimmunity, oocyte abnormalities in poor responders, the management of tubal ectopic pregnancy, leukocyte parameters in severe preeclampsia, and the diagnostic value of frozen section for borderline ovarian tumors.

Clinical focus

A central part of Dr. Bozdağ’s practice is the assessment and treatment of endometriosis and of pelvic pain. She also sees women with pelvic floor disorders and offers pelvic floor rehabilitation, and she evaluates and treats urinary incontinence and other bladder conditions. Menopause care and menstrual irregularities form another area of her work.

Her practice further includes infertility treatment, drawing on her experience at an IVF center, and the care of women with cervical cancer. Where surgery is considered, Dr. Bozdağ has an interest in vNOTES scarless surgery, a vaginal laparoscopic approach.
