His further training includes courses and observerships in Ilizarov techniques, spinal surgery, and minimally invasive trauma surgery, among them the Advanced llizarov Techniques Course in Kurgan, Russia (2000), an observership in the Ilizarov department of Texas Orthopedic Hospital (1996), the Maine Orthopaedic Review Course in Waterville, Maine (1997), and the AO International Advanced Course in Adana (1992).
