Prof. Moşe Benhabib, MD

Prof. Moşe Benhabib, MD is a gynecology and obstetrics specialist at Acibadem International Hospital in İstanbul, where he works within the Gynecology & Obstetrics unit. He is a member of the İnternational Menopause Society, The North American Menopause Society, the American Society For Reproductive Medecine, the American College Of Obstetrıcıans And Gynecologists, the Turkish Gynecology and Obstetrics Association, the Turkısh Socıety For Reproductive Medecine and the European Socıity For Human Reproduction And Embriology. His publications include work on antepartum fetal heart frequency and perinatal morbidity, endometrial thickness in peri- and postmenopausal bleeding, and the role of videoscopic-endoscopic surgery in gynecology.

Clinical focus

Dr. Benhabib evaluates and treats a range of gynecological conditions, including polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, menstrual pain and irregularities, pelvic pain and functional disorders, and vaginismus. He also sees patients with HPV and sexually transmitted diseases. In reproductive medicine his work includes the assessment and treatment of infertility, and he manages ectopic pregnancy.

Menopause is a central part of his practice, reflected in his membership of two menopause societies and in his published work on peri- and postmenopausal bleeding. He provides pregnancy follow-up and childbirth care, with delivery options including epidural, cesarean section and water birth. Surgical care includes hysterectomy where this is indicated after clinical assessment. The suitability of any treatment is decided individually, based on the patient’s history, examination findings and test results.
