Prof. Dilaver Erşanlı, MD

Prof. Dilaver Erşanlı, MD is an ophthalmologist at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul, where he works in the Ophthalmology unit with a subspecialty in neuro-ophthalmology. He has more than 43 years in medicine and joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2021. Most of his earlier clinical and academic career took place at military teaching hospitals in Turkey.

Dr. Erşanlı graduated from Trakya University Edirne Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He completed his specialization in ophthalmology at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital between 1986 and 1990, and his education record also lists the Gülhane Military Medical Academy Department of Ophthalmology in 1990. From 1990 to 1993 he worked as an ophthalmology specialist at Bursa Military Hospital. He then returned to GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital, where he was appointed assistant professor (1993–1998), associate professor (1998–2008) and professor (2008–2013). Alongside these academic titles he held administrative posts at the same hospital as deputy chief physician (1998–2008), head of the Ophthalmology Clinic (2007–2011) and chief physician (2011–2013). He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association and the Türk Oftalmoloji Association.

Dr. Erşanlı evaluates and treats a broad range of medical and surgical eye conditions. His areas of expertise include vitrectomy for retinal and vitreous disorders, cataract, glaucoma and keratoconus.
