A substantial part of Dr. Karadağ’s practice concerns sleep disorders, including insomnia and sleep apnea. Sleep-related breathing problems are assessed together with the patient’s respiratory history, because symptoms such as snoring, disrupted sleep, and daytime tiredness may have several possible causes, and the appropriate management depends on the findings of the evaluation.

He also evaluates and treats chronic airway diseases, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia. His areas of expertise extend to lung cancer and other thoracic cancers, and he performs bronchoscopy, a procedure used to examine the airways when this is clinically indicated. Respiratory treatment and rehabilitation form a further part of his work, as does the assessment of immunology and allergic diseases.
