Asst. Prof. Ceyda Çaytemel, MD

Asst. Prof. Ceyda Çaytemel, MD is a dermatologist at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul, where she works in the Dermatology unit with a subspecialty in Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Çaytemel graduated from Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Medicine in 2015. She worked as a doctor at Zonguldak Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatric Diseases Hospital from 2015 to 2016 before starting her residency at the Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Clinic of İstanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital, where she trained from 2016 to 2020 and completed her specialty in Dermatology and Venereal Diseases in 2020. From 2020 to 2022 she was a dermatology specialist at the Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Clinic of İstanbul Başakşehir Çam ve Sakura City Hospital, and in 2022 she joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services. She has co-authored peer-reviewed articles on topics including pigmented purpuric dermatosis and its differential diagnosis, dermatologic side effects of targeted antineoplastic therapies, and dermatology outpatient care after the COVID-19 outbreak.

Clinical focus

A large part of Dr. Çaytemel’s practice involves chronic and autoimmune skin diseases. She assesses and treats psoriasis, eczema, urticaria, lichen planus and lichen sclerosus, and other autoimmune skin conditions. She also manages pigmentation disorders, including melasma and vitiligo, as well as hair loss and alopecia areata. Her clinical interests further include nail disorders and fungal infections. Treatment plans are individualized after a clinical examination and, where relevant, a review of previous therapies.

In cosmetic and general dermatology, Dr. Çaytemel treats acne and rosacea. Her areas of practice also include cryotherapy, PRP, medical peels, fractional laser, botulinum toxin applications, mesotherapy, microneedling radiofrequency and non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures.
