Acıbadem Health Group, the leading establishment of the private health sector and creator of “Acıbadem Quality”, continues to provide health services with its 22 hospitals and 19 medical centers. Opened for service in January 2014, the hospital draws attention thanks to its numerous features. Acıbadem Atakent Hospital uses the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation standards and the Ministry of Health Quality Standards in Healthcare to improve quality and reinforce its patient security approach.
Architecture that reflects Acıbadem quality: The hospital is planned to possess an architectural integrity with the luxurious residential developments in the Küçükçekmece-Halkalı district, and it has approximately 60 thousand square meters of closed space. Plainness and calmness prevail in the building, thanks to the use of natural materials and colors. Comfort of the patients’ relatives are considered as much as that of the patients’ in the dayrooms, lobby, and cafeteria. Also, a new service was initiated for more prompt delivery of all medical results including check-up. The result claiming area located immediately next to the hospital building allows patients to access their results without the need to travel inside the building.

As a consequence of a patient focused approach and being the university hospital of the future, it was planned that the patients would receive diagnosis and management in the hospital without the need for another center, gain access to all specialities, and accomplish all these with minimal circulation enabled by specialized areas within the hospital. All rooms inside the hospital were designed with a relaxing architecture, aiming to create maximum private space for the patients. The hospital has 24 two person rooms, 131 single patient rooms, and 4 suite rooms.
Dedicated patient care areas: Acıbadem Atakent University Hospital is designed as a comprehensive hospital that serves in all fields, and draws attention with its cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, nuclear medicine, and oncology branches. Interventional Cardiology and Pediatric CVS services are also provided in the hospital. Situated in the same area, the CVS Intensive Care Unit has 14 beds, the General Intensive Care Unit has 10, Newborn Intensive Care Unit has 14, and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which will be a first within the group, has 6 beds. The chemotherapy area is composed of 32 beds. The Recovery Area that will be used by many units including the angiography has 29 beds.
The hospital is designed for different stages of diagnosis and management, the total number of beds is 300 and there are 8 operation rooms. The emergency service has separate entrances for ambulance and patients, there are also surgical and orthopedic intervention rooms as well as special observation rooms, including 7 for adults, 4 for children, and 1 for patients requiring isolation. It is predicted that the fastest possible service to the patients will be enabled by placing physical examination rooms often required by the department physicians as they consult patients in the emergency room.
